2nd Birthday Cake: Elmo Cake

Elmo is so popular for 2 year olds!  This was a very fun and colorful cake design.  Although, I must admit, the chevron design was very difficult - but I was so happy with how it turned out!
The bottom tier of the cake was banana sour cream cake with cream cheese icing.  The middle tier was strawberry vanilla cake with strawberry cream cheese icing.  I even made matching triple chocolate brownies.
The inspiration for this party came from WH Hostess and Hostess with the Mostess Blog.  Isn't it just fabulous?
And here's another close-up of Elmo!  Have a great week!

Such a fun cake! I love your Elmo. That chevron definitely looks like a pain in the butt, but it came out great!

Adorable cake! Can only imagine all the work in cutting the chevrons and creating Elmo but it certainly paid off. This is such a fun and whimsical cake design.

ohh I love Elmo so much Juanita, it is so much fun to make him.
I would love to make a Chevron patter cake, but just thinking about the time that would take me to do it, makes me say no.
