40th Birthday Cake: BodyStep Cake

Once again, my two careers (Personal Trainer & Cake Designer) collide.   I surprised my client and friend with this 40 and Fabulous cake.

Not only does she work a demanding full-time job, a mom to 2 girls, weight trains with me... she is an amazing BodyStep instructor at the gym.  People come from all over Toronto to attend her class.

Archery Target Cupcakes

My husband celebrated his 40th birthday last month.  In the past year, he has been getting into Archery as he inherited my dad's bow, so I decided to have a surprise party for him at Archery District.  It's like paintball - but with bow & arrows with giant marshmallow foam at the end.

It was lots of fun and after running around, everyone enjoyed their gluten-free chocolate cupcakes with chocolate cream cheese icing.

40th Birthday Cake: Disco Cake

What a fun fun fun cake!  I was asked to make a colorful disco-themed cake to celebrate a 40th birthday.  I have made a disco ball before for a dessert table, so I was excited to re-create it.  So I added in lots of color like disco lights and a disco floor with a sprinkle of edible disco dust.
The dancers were free-hand cut and after I took these photos, I added in a few more dancers.
A view from the top - isn't this super fun?

Star Trek Cake n' Cupcakes

One of my very popular blog posts is the Starship Enterprise surprise grooms cake. These cakes and cupcakes are for all the Star Trek fans out there:  Live Long and Prosper!

The cake was for a 40th birthday celebration and the flavor was neopolitan - one of my favorites!

40th Birthday Cake: Porsche Cake

I hope everyone is having a great week so far!  We've been having some warmer temperatures here in Toronto - it does not feel like winter at all.  In the peak afternoon - you really could drive a convertible, so I thought this cake would be appropriate.

It's a chocolate convertible porsche cake for a 40th birthday celebration with the personalized license plate of "OVERTHEHILL".
Have a great week!  I will be back here next week to feature another Guest Cake Designer's creations.
