Cowboy Hat Cake

I made this fun cake last year when my good friend Allison moved away to Calgary, Alberta.  It was a two-tier vanilla cake with the top tier covered in chocolate fondant.

I'm very excited that she is coming back to Toronto for the holidays soon - I wonder what type of cake I should make for her?  Or cupcakes.... or biscotti....

It's a mini MINI Cooper Cake!

What is cuter than a mini MINI Cooper Cake?  This was such a fun cake to decorate - I loved adding in and painting on the car details.

A friend told me that mini cars are popular because they look like a happy face - and that is exactly what I was thinking when I was working on this cake.

I can't wait to do another car cake - I think it will be a VW next time!
