Everything is completely edible on the cake. It was lemon butter cake with vanilla swiss meringue buttercream.
He loved the cake and really wanted to play with the tractor. I think it was confusing for him whether it was a toy or a cake. We let him remove the sugarpaste wheels before we cut it up... he then pointed at it and said "Broken".

ReplyDeleteI especially love the wheels! I am not good at all with wheels. I should improve my technique. I have a BMW this saturday for my friend's 3 year old son. I am going to try and make them better.

ReplyDeleteHi Everyone - Thank you for stopping by and leaving comments.
ReplyDeletegiovanna - I usually make my wheels 1 week in advance so they harden up and I can make marks with them in the fondant on the cake board if I want.
So cool & so very cute! Love how you did the wheel/tyre marks on the board too! And your Heffalump Cake was totally awesome!
