July 1st is Canada Day. It's time to Celebrate!
Time to celebrate with a cake.... or 2 or 3 or 4. Actually I made 9 of these. They were Chocolate Velvet Cake with Swiss Meringue Buttercream.
Or we can celebrate with some cupcakes. These are Strawberry Cupcakes with Strawberry Buttercream. Happy Canada Day!
Canada is sooo lucky to have Sweet Things!!!

ReplyDeleteThank you ladies for all the wonderful comments!
ReplyDeleteBeaches - One of my cakes will appear on ET Canada on July 2nd at 7pm. Its on Global, Channel 6 or Cable 3.
BellaLovesPink - I did the embossing of the word with the "Wilton Block Letter Press Set" I guess it really is a stencil that you would write over with buttercream, but I like to use it as an embosser.
I love the cakes. Did you color the fondant red or you just got it in red already?
ReplyDeleteyay we were featured together on CTTC :) Way to go sista!!
ReplyDeleteWow these all look soooo good!

Happy 4th of July!
ReplyDeletePink Little Cake - In the past I would dye my own fondant, but it really changes the consistency of it. This time I did buy red fondant, but it was really dark like a deep chinese red. So, I added some white fondant to lighten it a bit.
