My Career and Hobbies.... in Cake!

I was asked by a friend how I would describe myself in a cake - would it be different designs on a cupcake, a carved cake or an tall wedding-ish type cake?

I thought long and hard about this one.  I wanted to really portray my career and hobbies.  Aside from running my custom cake business, I also spend half my time as a Personal Trainer.  Fitness is also a big part of my life, I have done many marathons and triathlons (including 1 Ironman so far).

Here is what I came up with to describe my career and hobbies in a cake:  Cake designer, blogger, personal trainer and cyclist.  Everything is edible and handmade out of sugarpaste.  The bosu ball is actually a very small cake.  This cake also doubles as a handy business card holder too :-)      Tell me, what would your cake look like?

  3. My cake would look VERY similar to yours. Change it to blonde hair, a red cake and running shoes instead of bike tires, done and done! I am LOVING this cake idea. For my b-day maybe I can convince my husband to find me a cake that describes me...

  4. This is awesome! I never really thought about what "my" cake would look like. Now that I think about it ... there would be a LOT of components: cake (of course), knitting, books, video gaming, cooking, typewriters, chips, coffee, cats ... to name just a few!

Julia - I was going to make running shoes, but it was about 2am and the bike tires were easier :-)

The Cakerator - That would be one awesome cake!

Rosemary Writes - Absolutely! And I would also add in a pen & paper for all your writing.

  16. How fun! I should really try and do something like this myself. At the moment, there would be some of my day job, chemistry, in there, lots of cycling, a little bit of gardening and lots of cake decorating!

  17. If this is not the cutest thing. My cake would of course have baking/cooking articles on it, a sewing machine and fabric, arts and crafts, a camera, and music. It would also have some skull and crossbones for that rebel side of me.

  18. Love that idea, I'll see if I can come up with some creation. Wish I had time for the personal fitness though. I am going to start a new gym regime next month, and increase the size of my fondant batches to 20lb!

Soooo cute- mine would have me standing over my counter, in one of my many fave aprons (the latest being the cupcake apron from SITC2) in my indoor running shoes, lululemons, standing on a gel matt and watching a movie- absolute favorite way to work...and most likely a glass of wine hidden off to the side :)

RoxicakesJen - yes, I think most of us would have that hidden glass of wine :-) or double espresso on those late caking nights.
