Strawberry Anyone?



A short but very sweet post today. Last week I was doing some more recipe testing and finally happy with the newest addition to my cake menu.

These are Strawberry Vanilla Cupcakes with Strawberry Buttercream and topped with a fondant strawberry. Very yummy!

    So cute!!! Did you find it tough to find the right balance between fresh strawberry in your buttercream due to their moisture content??? I wanted to just load it up with reduced strawberry pure... it was tricky!

    Baker's Cakes - yes, getting that right consistency vs. strawberry puree was hard. But I just kept taste-testing until it was right! :-)

    One of my favorites is Strawberry buttercream. I love how it has a slight strawberry icecream flavor to it :) Yay for new flavors!

    Very pretty! I'd love it if you would share your recipe, I'm finding it hard to find a good one. I've found ones that are more muffiney, then I found a chiffon one that was a bit lighter but a bit chewy.
